(KNOX) – North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum proclaims May 12 through 18 as Police Week in North Dakota… and Wednesday, May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day.
Government agencies and residents are directed to fly the United States and North Dakota State Flags at half-staff on the 15th.
North Dakota’s 69 fallen peace officers will be remembered during a memorial service tonight in Bismarck.
The North Valley Police Week Memorial Service is set for Thursday afternoon in Optimist Park in Grand Forks. Local and federal law enforcement will be joined by the U.S. Air Force and RCMP.
