(KNOX) – Fire broke out Sunday in a row of garages at an apartment complex at 2403 27th Avenue South in Grand Forks.
The plumb of smoke could be seen for blocks.
When crews from the South Columbia station arrived, they found an eleven-car garage with heavy fire and smoke from multiple garages. Firefighters worked to contain the fire to half of the garage and prevent further damage and were able to get the fire out a short time later.
The fire department worked with the apartment management and tenants to retrieve any belongings not destroyed.
No one was injured.
