USPS to make changes in GF

Some changes are in the works for the Grand Forks Post Office.  The USPS has released its final findings as part of a Mail Processing Facility Review.
It calls for moving original mail and packages processing from Grand Forks to Fargo as part of a cost savings move.  The report estimates an annual savings of between $330 thousand to $440 thousand dollars.  In addition the report calls for the Grand Forks facility to be modernized as a Local Processing Center.
The analysis says the Grand Forks facility is not closing and any space savings in the 62,871 square foot building as a result of the move would be evaluated for future utilization.
A timeline for the change was not included in the report document.
