A stretch of Highway 23 near Watford City (ND) was closed for about an hour on Tuesday morning as a result of a three vehicle crash.
The North Dakota Patrol says a disabled pick-up pulling an enclosed trailer had pulled to the side of the road. The driver of a second pickup stopped to offer assistance.
Authorities say as the two drivers and a passenger were in the process of setting up traffic cones they saw an oncoming semi attempt to avoid the scene. As it was passing the side dump trailer struck the vehicles.
Both pickup drivers and a passenger had entered the ditch prior to the collision. There were no injuries.
