The University of North Dakota paid tribute to Arbor Day today with a tree planting ceremony south of the Chester Fritz Library. The event was three weeks late due to winter weather on the traditional April 28th date.
There are some 6,000 or so trees that dot the campus. UND has been named a Tree Campus Higher Education Institute for three years in a row.
President Andrew Armacost helped plant the two new species. He says they have a lot in common with students on campus….life and growth.
