A 79-year old Manvel (ND) man was killed when his SUV hit a passing train just off Highway 81 last night (Wednesday).
The North Dakota Patrol says the crash occurred around 9:00 p.m. five miles northwest of Manvel. The vehicle was dragged about a mile – coming to a rest after striking a rail crossing tie. The name of the victim has not been released.
Ferry Township fire…Altru Ambulance…and the Grand Forks Sheriff’s Department assisted on the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
