The Energy and Environmental Research Center has a new project to work on.
U.S. Senator John Hoeven traveled to Grand Forks today (Friday) to announce a $1.4 million dollar award to the EERC for a new carbon capture monitoring project at the Great Plains Synfuels Plant.
The technology advances carbon capture storage designed to make the facility the largest coal-based project using geologic storage and the first to utilize both enhanced oil recovery and geologic storage.
