GFPS News: Todorovic named Teacher of Year

Ivona Todorovic, an English Language teacher at Red River High School, has been selected as the Grand Forks Public Schools’ Teacher of the Year for 2021-22.

In addition to a plaque, Todorovic received a $1,000 monetary award from the Grand Forks Foundation for Education.

 Earlier this week, Todorovic was selected as the 2022 Grand Forks County Teacher of the Year. County award recipients may apply for state Teacher of the Year honors. That winner will be named in September.

Angelica Knudsen of Red River and Madeline Stangl of Central have been named two of nine North Dakota high school seniors selected as semifinalists for the U.S. Presidential Scholar honors.

The program honors distinguished graduating seniors across the nation.

The nine students were selected from a group of 76 North Dakota Presidential Scholar candidates.
