Authorities are searching for a driver who led law enforcement on a pursuit that started in Grand Forks and ended south of Crookston (MN).
The Polk County Sheriff’s Department says they were notified early this morning (Tuesday) by Grand Forks police that they were in pursuit of a vehicle that was crossing the river into Minnesota. The GFPD ended the chase at the state line.
Polk County deputies located the vehicle in rural Fisher (MN) – but the driver refused to stop. The pursuit ended with the suspect fleeing on foot into a neighborhood in Crookston.
Two K-9 teams were brought in and tracked the suspect for 1.5 miles before they lost the scent.
Anyone with information about the speeding motorist is urged to contact the Polk County S-O at 218-281-0431.
