Ward 1 East Grand Forks Council member Clarence Vetter will make a run for the Ward 2 seat.
A recently approved redistricting plan places Vetter in a new boundary. Vetter told his fellow council members last night (Tuesday) that after careful consideration he has decided to give up his Ward 1 chair and seek the Ward 2 job. The new ward map also moves council member Dale Helms from 2 to 4. That seat is currently held by Tim Johnson.
In other council notes members approved a bid by Opp Construction for a series of ADA improvement projects at a cost of just over $175,511 dollars. Three bids were received. The low quote was 8% above engineer estimates.
