ND & MN COVID-19

Today’s (Fri’s) report from the North Dakota Department of Health shows a decrease in new and active cases of COVID-19.

There are 233 new cases (down 15 from Thursday). Cass County tops the list with 47… with 19 in Grand Forks County.

The state’s daily positivity rate inched up to 3,82 percent.

Active cases fell to 1,675 (89 fewer than Thursday)… with 147 in Grand Forks County.

Eight new deaths were reported, including a Grand Forks county woman in her 70s. That’s the 71st death in the county since the pandemic began. (ND toll: 1,373.)

Eighty-eight people are hospitalized… 10 in ICU.

Minnesota identified 1,640 new cases (up 42 from Thursday), with 7 in Polk County.

The state reports 33 new deaths, including two Polk County residents.               (MN toll: 5,850.)

Hospitalizations fell to 612, with 125 in intensive care.
