Grand Forks Police were notified of a discharge of a firearm within an apartment building this afternoon. Officers were called to 2051 36th Avenue South around 3:00 p.m. by a renter who stated that he had mishandled a handgun and it went off. The bullet traveled into an adjoining apartment where it became lodged in a wall. Nobody was injured during the incident. The GFPD identified the gun handler as 30-year old Giovanni Clark of Grand Forks. Authorities say Clark is being charged with discharge of a firearm in city limits and reckless endangerment.
