The City of Grand Forks may soon be picking up what members of the Grand Forks Air Force Base put out.
The council gave a preliminary approval last night to a Letter of Intent to provide refuse and recycling services at the G-F-A-F-B. Under the plan the city would provide refuse containers…collection/disposal…and oversight for recycling as part of a four-year agreement. Public Works Operations Director LeahRae Amundson says still to be worked out is how much the service will cost. Amundson says those figures will be provided to the council at a future meeting.
City Administrator Todd Feland says the arrangement will be a “win-win” for both sides.
The local base is under contract for collection with ProMark Services of West Fargo until July.
