Eight-months after a fatal hit and run pedestrian accident the Grand Forks Police Department has an idea about the type and model of vehicle involved in the crash that killed Christina Melvin.
The 39-year old Melvin of Bedford (PA) died during the early morning hours on April 7th after being struck along the 45-hundred block of DeMers Avenue.
Vehicle debris recovered at the scene was analyzed by the F-B-I Lab in Quantico (VA). Results indicate the striking vehicle was likely a white 2003-2015 Nissan Murano. Other potential vehicles are a Nissan Rogue 2006-2016…a Nissan X-Trail produced between 2011-2019…and a Nissan Quest between 2010-2017.
A reward of five-thousand dollars is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver.
