Dickinson State University has an interim president.
Stephen Easton is a 1980 Dickinson State grad who was appointed Thursday by the State Board of Higher Education.
According to a release from the North Dakota University System, Easton practiced law for 20 years before working as a college professor and administrator. Easton is a former dean of the University of Wyoming College of Law.
Dickinson State’s presidency opened when Dr. Thomas Mitzel resigned. Mitzel will become president at Kentucky Wesleyan College in January.
Meanwhile, on-campus interviews continue for the UND President’s job.
Dr. David Rosowsky, former provost of the University of Vermont, is interviewing Thursday and Friday. He’s the third of six candidates to visit UND. The remaining three will be in Grand Forks next week.
