The University of North Dakota is playing host again this year to the North Dakota Clothesline Project through October 24th. The North Dakota Clothesline Project is a visual display dedicated to raising awareness about the reality of violence in our community and throughout North Dakota. The shirts are designed by adults and children who have been harmed.
The Take Back the Night organization says one in three women…and one in six men…experience some form of sexual violence. At the same time less than 50-percent of victims report their crimes.
Grand Forks police investigated 48 sexual offenses…26 reported rapes…and 1,287 domestic disturbances in 2019.
The Take Back the Night Rally on Tuesday was held virtual.
