The downtown Sorlie was temporarily closed this morning after a male individual climbed to the top of the bridge arches.
Law enforcement from Grand Forks and East Grand Forks closed the bridge around 6:15 a.m. until the situation was resolved. Authorities say through a friend officers made phone contact with the individual who agreed to come down.
The East Grand Forks Fire Department used a ladder truck to assist with the removal. The male was evaluated by paramedics.
The GFPD says no criminal charges are being sought and there was no threat to the public.
