(KNOX) – A crash involving a city-owned vehicle and a motorcycle on South Columbia Road led to serious injuries to the motorcyclist Monday morning.
According to Grand Forks Police Department release, a city owned 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 24-year-old female, was traveling southbound on Columbia Road and turning east onto 62nd Street when it was struck by a 2007 Honda motorcycle, driven by a 25-year-old male, was traveling northbound on Columbia Road. The motorcycle stuck the rear passenger side of the pickup truck.
The driver of the motorcycle sustained significant injuries, medical aid was provided by first responders, and he was transported by ambulance to Altru Emergency Room. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. Neither driver was identified.
Members of the UAS and CART team responded to the incident location.
