North Dakota U-S Senator John Hoeven says he has secured a commitment from the V-A to add heat, electricity and lights to a proposed restroom at Fargo National Cemetery.
The $250,000 outdoor bathroom has been the subject of recent controversy…as some Fargo-area veterans were unhappy that the structure would have no heat or electricity in one of the coldest areas of the country.
Hoeven says he’s working with the V-A to add running water and flushable toilets to the structure…which is expected to be completed later this year.
Hoeven is also asking the V-A to expand the Fargo cemetery by purchasing adjacent land.
