University of North Dakota athletic department officials have released the 2019 home football game times, promotional schedule, and ticket information for its six-game slate at the Alerus Center. The schedule, which features home contests against two opponents who reached the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) playoffs a season ago, will see the Fighting Hawks take the field six times at home in the regular season for the first time since 2014.

UND will open its 125th season of collegiate football on its own turf on Aug. 31 vs. Drake in the annual Military Appreciation Game set for a 4 p.m. start. The Fighting Hawks and Bulldogs will meet for the third time on the gridiron, with North Dakota claiming the previous two matchups in 2011 (16-0) and 2015 (21-18). This will mark the first time UND has opened at home in back-to-back years since 2011-2013 when it happened three consecutive seasons.

In addition to welcoming one of the more traditional power programs in FCS football for the first time in program history, the showdown with Sam Houston State on Sept. 14 will serve as the program's Potato Bowl USA Game. The contest, slated for a 4 p.m. start, is the second all-time meeting between the schools as Fighting Hawks stunned the then-No. 4/5 Bearkats, 24-23, on an 8-yard, fourth down touchdown grab by Noah Wanzek with just 4:44 remaining to snap the FCS' longest active home winning streak last September. The fourth-ranked 'Kats were the highest-ranked team that UND has defeated in its DI history.

A pair of FCS playoff participants from a season ago will visit Grand Forks in October as UC Davis will be in town on Oct. 5 for a 1 p.m. kickoff. UND will host the Aggies for the first time since 2014 in this year's Homecoming Game before closing the month against Montana State on Oct. 26 at noon for Family Weekend. Last year marked the first time since 2011 that the Fighting Hawks and Bobcats did not meet, as UND has claimed two of the last three games between the foes.

UND closes out the 2019 slate with back-to-back home tilts against Northern Colorado (Nov. 16) and Southern Utah (Nov. 23). The Fighting Hawks and Bears are set to dual for the nine straight year beginning at 1 p.m. as UND goes for its seventh consecutive win over UNC on High School Band Day. North Dakota will then look to make it three straight wins over Southern Utah in the friendly confines of the Alerus Center as the Senior Recognition Day is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kick.

All six of UND's home games will be broadcasted by Midco Sports Network and available on PlutoTV as well as the Home of Economy Radio Network.

2019 football season ticket renewals and new season tickets will be available starting Tuesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. Season ticket renewals will be available online only through the My North Dakota Account through Friday, May 31.

New season tickets will be available for purchase online at fightinghawks.com/tickets or in person at the Ralph Engelstad Arena Box Office starting at $110 per seat.
