RRV Spring Flood Threat

RRV Spring Flood Threat

Feb 20, 2014 at 2:03 pm

Not a lot of change in the latest spring flood outlook from the national weather service.  The outlook still suggests the threat for substantial flooding in the red river valley remains low.    Snow water equivalent is generally running below normal south of grand forks and near normal to the north.  the climate prediction center still expects colder than normal weather into march.   The best guess for a crest in grand forks is around 38 feet – ten feet over flood stage.
