Red River Flooding

Apr 25, 2013 at 6:57 am

The National Weather Service is predicting the Red River to rise in the Fargo-Moorhead area to rise to about 37 feet by the middle of next week, with the crest to come later in the week.

NWS Meteorologist Greg Gust says the expected crest range is between 38 and 40 feet, down slightly from a maximum crest prediction made last week. A rapid warm-up is expected toward the end of this week and heavy rains could come early next week.

In Grand Forks the Red River continues to slowly climb and is about four feet under flood stage.
