UND - Dakota Hall

The University of North Dakota is getting ready to place a For Sale sign on Dakota Hall. U-N-D purchased the former Road King Inn back in 2003 for use as a residence hall until the 2008 academic year. Since that time the building has been used for transitional space – and has sat vacant since 2015.
Dakota Hall was identified as excess campus property in a 2016 Master Plan. The University expects to vacate 13 buildings by the end of 2018 with the goal of saving more than one-million dollars in annual operating costs and 32-million in building maintenance and repairs.
Seeking the endorsement by the North Dakota Board of Higher Education will give the university options on any future land sale. The board will consider the request next month.
