The North Dakota Turkey Federation on Monday presented Thanksgiving turkeys to Lieutenant Governor Brent Sanford and Ag Commissioner Doug Goehring at the state capitol.
Also, two live turkeys named Salt and Pepper, from a farm in Wyndmere, were on hand to receive their pardon from the Lieutenant Governor.
Sanford’s office says it is especially grateful for the donation of 24 turkeys to the Ruth Meiers Hospitality House, and the Abused Adult Resource Center in Bismarck.
