Authorities have identified a 74-year-old Hollandale (MN) man who was killed after his pickup truck was struck by a train in northwestern North Dakota.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday in Ward County.

Troopers say Robert Bowman was working for a custom combining operation and was leaving a farm. The patrol says he failed to yield at a crossing and his vehicle was struck on the passenger side by an eastbound B-N-S-F train.

Troopers say the train pushed the pickup for about a mile until it came to a stop.

Bowman was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat-belt.

Charges are being filed against a 67-year old Fargo man after a two car crash in Traill County on Saturday afternoon. According to the North Dakota Highway patrol Gerald Hill was heading south on I-29 when he intentionally crossed the median and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Both Hill and the other driver - identified as a 29-year old Grand Forks woman – were transported to Altru Hospital. Hill was arrested for D-U-I and felony reckless endangerment.

A 54-year old Warroad woman was injured when the motorcycle she was riding was rear-ended on County Road Eleven Sunday. The Minnesota Highway Patrol says Mavis Bolek was attempting to turn on County Two when the crash occurred. She was transported to a Roseau hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries. The 82-year old driver of the car and an 80-year old passenger were not injured.

Authorities have identified the teen who was killed when an SUV struck a stalled all-terrain vehicle in northern North Dakota.

The Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 8 p.m. Saturday on a Rolette County road near St. John.

Authorities say a Honda ATV had mechanical problems and was stalled on the edge of the road. The driver of a Polaris ATV had hooked up his winch to tow the vehicle when a Cadillac Escalade struck the group as they were preparing to leave.

Eighteen-year-old Taitum Eller from St. John was killed. She was a passenger on the Honda ATV. The driver of that ATV suffered non-life-threatening injuries and the other ATV driver was not hurt. The SUV driver also was not injuried.
