A 29-year old Grand Forks man has been sentenced to eight years in jail after breaking into an apartment and stabbing two people. Jordan Parisien pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder and one count of burglary in connection with the September incident. Judge John Thelan sentenced Parisien to 20 years – but stayed 12 years of the sentence. He was also given credit for 69 days already served. Two counts of aggravated assault were also dismissed. The stabbing occurred at an apartment west of the U-N-D campus.
