Sorlie Bridge to open at 4 PM

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) along with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) are opening the Sorlie Bridge on Business US 2 (Demers Ave) in Grand Forks/East Grand Forks Tuesday at 4 p.m.
have receded and the bridge is safe for travel.
The Sorlie had been closed since Apr. 8.
This means all three bridges linking Grand Forks and East Grand Forks will be open to traffic.
With the Sorlie Bridge back open the left hand turn
restrictions on Gateway Dr. (Hwy. 2) in Grand Forks by the Kennedy Bridge will be lifted.
Meanwhile, NDDOT says Highway 54 will open at 5 p.m.Tuesday. And MnDOT says Hwy. 1 through Oslo has re-opened and a five-ton weight limit is in effect. . Motorists should slow down and pay attention as water remains over the road surface.
Motorists should drive with caution as flooding continues to affect the area highways and should check road conditions before traveling due to rapidly changing conditions.
