Violence against police made headlines again in 2016. This is National Police Week -- a time to remember fallen law enforcement officers. President of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Craig Floyd says 135 law officers died in the line of duty in 2016.Floyd says a law enforcement career ranks among the most dangerous.A ceremony honoring the 62 fallen law enforcement officers from the Northern Red River Valley will take place later today (2-3 pm) in Grand Forks. The ceremony will include: Presentation of the colors….roll-call for fallen officers…21 gun salute…flag folding….and a helicopter fly-over.Tonight and tomorrow (wed) two floors of the capitol will be lit with blue lights in honor of North Dakota law enforcement.
