A possible tornado in northwest Minnesota’s Otter Tail County on Tuesday. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s office received numerous public reports about a tornado near the Henning Airport. The twister reportedly tracked to the southeast for about one-quarter mile across a cut oats field. Damage was limited to some straw tossed on top of power lines.
Peak winds were estimated at around 70 miles per hour. The National Weather Service says it may have been a cold air funnel. The report came in shortly before 2:30 p-m. No injuries were reported.
Severe thunderstorms spawned multiple funnel clouds across Minnesota and flooded streets in the Twin Cities.
The National Weather Service reports there was some crop damage from a tornado touchdown in Steele County near Ellendale Tuesday, but no major structural damage.
