The Red Lake County Sheriff’s Department is working with the F-B-I to try and find out who concealed several pipe bombs near a hunting cabin northeast of Oklee (MN). Authorities responded to the site around eleven a-m on Sunday after receiving a report that bomb making materials were found in a rubble pile on the complainant’s property.
According to a news release the S-O contacted the Bomb Squad in Grand Forks for assistance. Instead the Minnesota B-C-A’s Duty Officer dispatched two bomb technicians out of Brainerd (MN).
The bombs were disabled and the property searched for additional explosives. The evidence was collected and the property deemed safe around seven p-m. The Bureau of Alcohol…Tobacco…and Firearms is also assisting in the investigation.
