North Dakota electric customers of Xcel Energy could see a credit on a future bill. The utility has filed a service agreement with the North Dakota Public Service Commission that will allow for a one-time
payment as a result of the federal tax cut bill. The payment would total around 46 dollars for the average user. The proposed settlement also would hold rates steady for the next two years. The $9.7 million dollar credit would likely show up on monthly bills early in 2019. Xcel has around 90-thousand electric rate customers in North Dakota.
