ND unveils "Be Legendary" brand

North Dakota’s brand identity has been tweaked a bit. After 17 years of using the “Legendary” theme in state promotions, the state will now use the slogan: “Be Legendary.”
Gov. Doug Burgum announced the change Friday.
"The reason we chose to make it active with 'Be Legendary' is there's incredible people writing their story every day, so it makes sense," said Holly Holt, a senior manager of strategic services for the Department of Commerce.
"The brand itself really speaks to the opportunities in North Dakota, the experiences and the resilient people that we have here," Holt added.

The brand includes updated colors and photography – and a new logo, designed by Muskoda Communications of Hawley, MN, at a cost of less than $10,000, according to Holt.
