Grand Forks County continues to trail the statewide average when it comes to annual salaries according to a fourth quarter 2016 report by North Dakota Job Service. The analysis says the average hourly wage for some 41-thousand workers in the county was 22-dollars-45 cents – or 46-thousand-696 dollars annually. By comparison the statewide average was two dollars an hour higher – or 50-thousand-856 dollars per year.

The top counties for wages continue to be areas known for energy development. During the final three months of 2016 - McKenzie County topped all at over 73-thousand dollars.
