North Dakota’s first ever electronic sniffing K-9 is ready for duty. “Hex” is a two-year old yellow lab that received specialized training in electronic detection – including hard drives…cell phones…and sim cards.
Hex demonstrated his abilities in a run through at the office of Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem this week. The program is being funded by Operation Underground Railroad – an organization that attempts to rescue children from, sex trafficking. Homeland Security chipped in funding to purchase needed equipment.
Although Hex will be based in Fargo his services will be available statewide.
