A former Deputy U-S Marshal from North Dakota has been sentenced to seven years in jail on child pornography charges. Michael Rivera was indicted by a grand jury in October of last year. Rivera was accused of recording women and minors in various states of undress while they were in fitting rooms of stores in the Bismarck area. A search of computers also found downloaded videos of child pornography.
U-S Attorney Randolph Seiler says the case proves that no one is above the law including federal officers who have previously sworn an oath to protect and serve.
