Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton has appointed Major General Jon Jensen to serve as the next Adjutant General of the Minnesota National Guard. Jensen will become the 31st Adjutant General upon the retirement of General Richard Nash at the end of October.
Jensen has completed tours of duty in Kuwait…Bosnia…and Iraq. He previously served as Commanding General of the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division.
Minnesota has the nation’s tenth largest National Guard with more than 13-thousand members operating in 63 facilities around the state. Since 2001 more than 25-thousand Minnesota National Guard members have been deployed and served in more than 33 countries worldwide.
