A Minnesota Woman is Charged in Connection with a GF Murder

A 42-year old Crookston (MN) woman has pleaded guilty for her role involving a Grand Forks murder case. Lorie Ortiz appeared before U-S District Judge Ralph Erickson on a charge of accessory after the fact to murder.
The case involved the shooting death of Austin Forsman in the parking lot of the Flying J truck stop in March of last year. According to the U-S Attorney’s office -Ortiz admitted that after the murder she was involved in destroying evidence – namely cell phones in an effort to cover up the case. A sentencing date is set for September 8th.
A co-defendant Krystal Feist is scheduled to be sentenced to murder in furtherance of a drug trafficking conspiracy on August 9th.
