The Grand Forks School Board is expected to meet in Executive Session tonight (Mon) to discuss the findings of a commission that looked into the impasse surrounding teacher talks with the district. The North Dakota Fact Finding Commission released their recommendations on Friday.
Among the suggestions is that the two sides enter into a one-year agreement with one-thousand dollar raises for all full-time instructors. In addition the commission recommends both sides study issues involving: prep time…maternity leave…and sick day policies.
It’s estimated the pay bump would cost the district around 881-thousand dollars.
