What will I-29 look like down the road? The Metropolitan Planning Organization has compiled a comprehensive report on current and future traffic needs along the Grand Forks corridor. The analysis focuses on the stretch between North Washington Street and the Merrifield Road. One of the higher profile items in the report is the possibility of creating a new interchange at 47th Avenue South. Consultants say the new interchange would be the most effective solution for reducing capacity at 32nd Avenue South.
The price-tag for the interchange is estimated at 28-point-five million dollars.
A public meeting to discuss the transportation plan is scheduled for tonight at the Alerus Center (5:30 m- 7:30 p.m.)
