The U-S Department of Veteran Affairs is looking to expand the Grand Forks Vet Center. The current five day center opened in May on Cherry Street. At the time the V-A announced it was opening the outpost on a trial basis for six months to gauge demand. U-S Senator Heidi Heitkamp says the V-A is eyeing a permanent location on 32nd Ave South. Heitkamp says the new site will be able to serve more veteran with expanded hours and in-demand services. The V-A currently maintains Vet Center in Grand Forks…Fargo…Bismarck…and Minot.
