The driver of a pick-up was injured in Grand Forks last night after crashing into two parked cars and a building on the 300 block of 1st Avenue North. Grand Forks police say they received numerous calls about the accidents around 10:40 p-m. When officers arrived on scene they found the pick-up still in contact with the building – but the driver had already been transported to Altru Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The name of the driver was not released. Authorities say potential charges include driving under suspension and leaving the scene of an accident.
A 55-year old Hatton (ND) man was able to walk away with
only minor injuries after rolling his car in Grand Forks last night. According to
police Allen Wasness-Jr was heading
north on the 17-hundred block of South 48th Street when he lost
control of the vehicle and hit a light pole. The car rolled and came to
rest on its roof. The G-F-P-D says Wasness exited the vehicle on his own
and was treated by paramedics on the scene. The accident occurred shortly
before 7:30 p-m. No other injuries or property damage was reported.
