The wrecking ball is getting ready to fly on three buildings at the Grand Forks Airport. The airport board approved bids this week on the first phase of the demolition. Airport Executive Director Ryan Riesinger says the buildings slated to be razed are beyond their useful life. Riesinger says additional structures are being targeted for demo in 2018. He says the goal is to create enough open space that companies could lease and build to suit their needs.
Florian and Sons will be paid 95-thousand -700 dollars for the initial round of demolition.
