A preliminary hearing is set August 28th for a 20-year old Crookston (MN) man charged with lighting off fireworks inside a Grand Forks bar. Isaiah Ramirez made an initial court appearance Monday before Grand Forks District Judge Jason McCarthy. Ramirez is charged with endangering by fire or explosion – a class “C” felony and two misdemeanors: giving false information to law enforcement and criminal mischief. Police say the bar sustained moderate damage as a result of the early Sunday morning incident - and several customers were hit by flying glass as a result of the explosion.
