The Labor Day stabbing of two people in Grand Forks have police urging the public to maintain awareness of their surroundings and lock their doors – even when home. Authorities continue to investigate the incident saying it’s still unknown whether it was a random attack or if the victims were targeted.
The G-F-P-D responded to an apartment building at 42-65 5th Avenue North around ten a-m. When officers arrived they discovered two victims with stab wounds – a female and a male. Both were transported to Altru Hospital.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male…24 to 28 years of age…six-foot-one…slim build…wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans. A search of the area with a K-9 team failed to locate the individual.
