Despite being buoyed by the voter approved half-cent sales tax – Grand Forks tax collections for June came in at their lowest monthly mark since 2015. The latest payment to city hall topped one-point-seven million dollars. The tally is the first to include the additional tax for roads and water launched April 1st. So far in 2018 the local tax has generated nine-and-a-half million dollars – or down two-point-four percent compared to the first six months of 2017.
