Good news for motorists who travel Demers Ave. in Grand Forks. The $4.9 million Demers construction project from I-29 to the fire station near Washington St., should be all but wrapped up this week, according to city engineer Al Grasser.
Grasser said most barricades should be down by the end of the week.
Grasser also said the $4.5 million reconstruction of Columbia Road between 40th and 47th Aves. South is progressing, with the intersection at 47th expected to open the week of Aug. 21, "getting it done before school (starts)."
Grasser said work on the University Avenue bridge over I-29 should be finished by early September.
As for the $15.6 million rehab of the Kennedy Bridge, Grasser said the next three-day closure will be on or about Labor Day.
