GF - More Rain

Better, but unwelcome: The much talked about weekend rain system is still on track to spread rain across the region. As of early Sunday afternoon the storm was centered just east of Rapid City (SD) and will move to near Sioux Falls Monday morning, and then northeast to near Duluth late Monday.
KNOX staff meteorologist Mark Ewens says the track is a bit farther south than originally expected. Ewens says the Grand Cities looks to get between 1/2 and 1 inch of rain by the time the rain ends early Tuesday. Heavier rains south of Grand Forks will likely keep the Red River much higher than normal for late October, possibly rising again later this week.
Northwest winds are expected to reach speeds of 45 to 55 mph late Monday into early Tuesday. This threatens to cause additional damage, especially to trees already weakened by last weeks storms.
Stay tuned to updates.
