GF Gun Debate

With Sunday’s mass shooting in Las Vegas on a lot of minds at least one Grand Forks council member wants to start a conversation about what role the city can play in gun control. Bret Weber floated the idea at the end of last night’s council meeting. Weber says he knows there have been concealed carry law changes at the state level but what choices...if any...are there in city government.
"laws surrounding...ah...the carrying of weapons in our state changed on August 1st and I thought we could at least have a discussion about that...I am asking tonight if there is any will on the council to have a public conversation about that."
The council took no immediate action on the request.
The attack has become the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history. The latest count is 59 people dead and nearly 530 injured.
