GF - Grandstand Repairs

Grand Forks County continues to search for a long term solution for its aging grandstand. County commissioners this week agreed to fund a short term fix to the tune of up to 85-thousand dollars. The goal is to make the facility safe to use in 2019.
The county has been working with consultants A-E-2-S. An analysis of the 1932 structure showed problems ranging from A-D-A compliance and corrosion of steel to footings that do not extend to frost depth. More complex repairs could top seven figures.
Commissioner Gary Malm says the next step will likely be to issue an R-F-P for the initial work.
