A crackdown on distracted driving by Grand Forks police resulted in 29 citations for use of a wireless communication device while driving. The activities including such things as texting…e-mailing...and instant messaging while behind the wheel. The targeted law enforcement campaign was part of April being National Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The fine for texting behind the wheel is 100-dollars. The enforcement blitz was funded by the North Dakota D-O-T.
